First Post; Quote

-A good book should leave you, slightly exhausted at the end. You live several lives while reading it.-

I picked this quote for one reason, because it is very true. I think reading is about going through a story, and learning new things. Lives in this quote means that you are going through many different stories, like I have just said before. Being exhausted  means that you are and aren't tired of reading the book. If you are tired at the end of a book I think that means you really enjoyed the book and that you lived many lives while reading it. As I am reading the Diary Of Anne Frank, I feel very tired. I feel as if I am going through her motion's as a young girl going through the tough times. I feel like I know exactly were she is living and what she does everyday. I feel like I know that by the way she describes everything so thoroughly, sometimes I even have to take a break and take back everything I have just read. Finally this book relates to me in many ways, I feel as I live and read books I am going through the motions sometimes you may get tired of what is happening but something good always comes out of something. Even in books the ending may not always but great but there is always a lesson when reading.

  1. How does this relate specifically to you as a reader, or to some of the books that you have read (or are reading)? What might make you feel exhausted while reading THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL?

  3. I thought you had some great ideas in that paragraph, most of witch were explained very well. For example, how you feel immersed in the story, sometimes to such an extent that you need to take a break. I completely agree with that statement and I myself tend to need to read things over as well. However make sure you check your writing over, as there are some grammatical errors/typos, eg; "Even in books the ending may not always but great but....". I also agree with what miss McConkey said about relating the quote to you as a reader.
